Statement from Commissioner Rodney Ellis on Trump’s Illegal Attempt to Undermine Our Elections

Wannabe dictators do not get to rewrite election law with the stroke of a pen. The Constitution gives broad authority over elections to the states and Congress, not the White House. This illegal executive order is a naked attempt to sabotage  vote-by-mail and restrict voter eligibility to undermine the freedom to vote, and will be rightfully challenged in the courts—just like his other failed attempts to hijack our democracy.
